The week started well but in the end it turned out to be quite a sickly week since everyone in our family fell ill.
On Friday my colleague and I went on a lovely stroll to Tervasaari island. It’s a tiny island with nothing more than a restaurant and a playground but worth the visit to just walk right around it. Later, I met with an ex-collleague for drinks and salads at the Vapiano terrace. The terrace was our choice because of the abundance of sun even in the evenings. You could say it was a perfect Friday!
Truly the best thing about this week is how the amount of green has suddenly increased so much.
Saturday was spent practicing sailing with hubby and son. Without our sailing teacher this time! It was full of learning experiences. Our son was such a champ. It was his first real sailing experience and it lasted a whopping seven hours.
Sunday was Mother’s Day and we spent it by the sea.
Our motorboat is now on the market. I feel quite sad to see it go but it’s too time consuming to maintain two boats.
The rest of the week was literally spent recuperating, so it was quite uneventful. I guess it’s good to slow down now and then and falling sick forces you to do so, doesn’t it. I cannot wait for this blazing headache to be over.

Sorry to read that you have been a bit off colour but hope you’ll soon recover. We’ve just returned from BKK and HK and it’s as if we’ve come back to a different place! We set off for the airport in coats and returned to warm, sunny weather. Like Finland, the trees have sprouted leaves which are bright green and it’s time to get the lawnmower out! Enjoy the weekend, I wonder if it will be warm enough to barbecue!!
