I was not supposed to take part in any more challenges but Cee’s Share Your World questions were so fun that I couldn’t resist!
If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?
OMG! Do I have to pick just one? Probably sushi. I adore sushi, I could eat it every single day. In Finland sushi is very expensive, so an endless supply would suit me just fine.
What is the worst thing you ate this last recently?
I don’t really like meat very much but have nevertheless had three different Chinese dishes lately with beef/pork. None of them were very good. The meat was chewy and leatherly if you know what I mean. Gross. Another horrible meal was on our trip to Estonia. It sounded good on the menu – a salad with goat’s cheese and beetroot. But it was absolutely awful – beetroot has to be nicely done for me to love it, not just thrown on a plate. I never choose to eat things I don’t like, but sometimes this happens!
You are comfortable doing nothing? For long stretches of time?
Not really. How can you do nothing except when sleeping? If I go lay on the sofa, then I read. I’m quite an active person as those who follow my blog will know, haha. But if nothing means reading or using the computer, then no problem. Hours can and will easily pass by.
List of Jobs You Think You Might Enjoy: Even if you aren’t thinking about a career change, it can be fun to think of other jobs you might enjoy.
I’m actually looking into changing careers at the moment. The passion I used to feel for my job is long gone unfortunately. I would still love to work for a good cause. And with people preferably. Travel would also be very nice. Let me run my imagination wild for this one:
- social media coordinator for something to do with travel/tourism
- event planner
- a coordinator for a non-profit project
- B & B owner (wouldn’t want to do any cooking or cleaning though, LOL!! so emphasize the word OWNER)
- astronaut (seen any job openings lately? – unfortunately I would be terribly underqualified and unfit in all aspects!)
- journalist
- traveller who does odd jobs here and there and travels the world while at it
- private investigator
- housewife – I was a stay at home mom for six years and loved it! Now that the kids are older, I would still find lots to do.
- occupational therapist for children
Surprisingly, I have realized that I would not want to be a fulltime professional travel blogger! It seems to be everyone’s dream job these days.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Apart from the obvious, i.e. family and health, I am grateful for the fun times I had last week. You can see for yourself what I’m talking about here. I look forward to my coming up extempore holiday on Monday when I hope to spend some time with my son, a concert with hubby and meeting Stephanie from Malaysian in Europe again!

Great post! I love beetroot, too bad yours wasn’t good. What kind of work do you do, by the way? Don’t feel obligated to answer if I’m being too nosy 🙂

I had really good beetroot at Sunn, with goats cheese too. It was on the salad buffet included with lunch. So I love it too if it’s made right, hehe. Well I do non-profit work for children 😛 There’s not many of us doing it in Finland so I’d rather not publicly say it out loud but I can tell you privately! Or maybe you already guessed 😉

Hmm, no I didn’t guess (yet? my brain’s still sleepy on this Sunday morning…) but that’s enough info, I definitely understand (hey, I’m blogging entirely anonymously!) Sounds like a rewarding, interesting line of work, though! Good for you!

Well yes, it was exactly that many years ago but unfortunately nothing stays the same forever… 😦 It would be time to move on but where, that’s the question! 😛

Clever answers! And I agree with your sushi answer. Finland needs more good sushi places 🙂

Yes, AFFORDABLE sushi places. Have you tried Käpylän Majakka yet? Their’s is sooooo good 🙂

I haven’t yet tried that but I will remember it next time when trying to find good sushi place. 🙂

I love your answers! Private Investigator – I would like to do that too! I did a careers quiz once and the result said I should be a librarian or a private investigator!

Wow, imagine that! I’m quite sure I’d be quite good at hehehe 😉

Funny you should mention Sushi. My daughter loves it. She has a few stomach problems and can eat sushi. She has ballet straight after picking her up from the station on Fridays and she turns up exhausted and sometimes barely standing up and so I buy her sushi. I now tend to buy sushi when I’m out and need a quick feed. It’s much more healthy than other alternatives. xx Rowena

So true Rowena, so much better than a burger or chips! At first my son did not like sushi, maybe it’s an acquired taste… now he loves it. 💕

It took me awhile to get used to it and it used to be quite expensive where now it’s actually a cheaper option…especially if you’re not too hungry.
