What is your favorite comfort snack food?
For food, it’s definitely sushi. I could eat sushi all the time so why not for comfort, LOL! After that it’s pick ‘n mix candies for sure. I love all the fruity ones but I do pick some liquorice too.
Is the paper money in your possession right now organized sequentially according to denomination and with the bills right side up and facing the same way?
Erm what paper money? I seriously do not have paper money in my wallet, I usually don’t use cash at all. In Finland card is king. On my travels I do have notes and those are in disarray, never in any kind of sequence.
If you were a mouse in your house in the evening, what would you see your family doing?
It would be quite boring to be a mouse in our house although it would be glad for the fact that my family members leave lots of crumbs all over the place! We would all probably be doing our own things, blogging, reading, watching tv.. Our daughter would most likely be out with her friends or boyfriend. These days the mouse would be puzzled to see me manically packing things into cardboard boxes every evening – you see, a move is in the cards and I want to get organized early.
Would you rather not be able to read or not be able to speak?
Well I would say I’d rather not be able to speak. Because one can learn new kinds of communication – like sign language – or use technology for text to speech and so on. I love my reading, so I can’t really imagine life without my books and I’m not into audio books at all.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Technically I heard the news this week – I got a new job! I am utterly grateful for that, as I am in the point in my career that I want to use my energy into learning something new. I was chosen from a pool of 134 applicants of which seven were interviewed. Of those three were chosen for a group interview. It didn’t come easy! This week I’m looking forward to finishing my old job and enjoying cake with my soon to be ex-colleagues who I will miss a lot.
I am also grateful for the gorgeous end of summer sunsets we have here in Finland.
xx
Congratulations on the new job! I start a new one this week as well – yikes! These photos are so peaceful and relaxing to look at – just what I need at this stressful time!

Congratulations on the new job. I tend to think of September as the start of a new “year” rather than January. It looks like your new year is going to be a whole new life chapter đ

Thank you Joanne – and yes, I also feel like that about September. Maybe because the new school year starts after the summer holidays. We have a lot going on this Fall, that’s for sure – my new job and a new house too!

Thank you so much! đ€ Well at the moment I am doing non profit work for children and I will start with another nonprofit working with and for families with children… Sorry for being so vague but Finland is a small country đ

Congrats on the job! Also happy to hear that you wouldn’t go hungry as a mouse in your house – your family members are so considerate! đ
