Share Your World – week 49

Cee neve fails to find new interesting questions to answer each week – this week she looks into cupcakes, friends, life and submarines!

What do you value most in a friendship?

I have the most wonderful friends around world. Even though many live far away, I can always count on them to support me when the going gets tough and to be delighted for me when great things happen. I could not have asked for better friends. ❤ ❤ ❤ If you ask me what kind of friend I am, I’d say a very loyal one.

Do you prefer eating the frosting of the cake or the cupcake first? Do you prefer a specific flavor?

The frosting by itself is way too sweet. On the other hand a cupcake without frosting is quite bland. So they have to be eaten simultaneously. I’m actually not a great fan of cupcakes but I do love a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting.

Have you ever been in a submarine?  If you haven’t, would you want to?

I have been in the last Finnish submarine! Heheh, okay I have to admit that it was on land and is a museum now. It’s called Vesikko and you can find it on the island of Suomenlinna. Vesikko was used in the Winter and Continuation Wars. Unfortunately the Paris Peace Treaty of 1947 forbade Finland from having submarines and thus all but Vesikko were disposed of. Personally I think it’s wrong that Finland still cannot have submarines as the Russians sure as hell have them!! What surprised me about Vesikko is the cramped space, I found it very difficult to move around even though I’m a very short person. So I would not really be too enthusiastic about visiting an active submarine and going underwater in it.

If 100 people your age were chosen at random, how many do you think you’d find leading a more satisfying life than yours?

Out of a hundred, not many! Even though I might complain about all kinds of things, the truth is that I am happy with my life.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week I had the most wonderful two days with my goddaughter. Our children are so much older that it’s a joy to spend time with a seven year old girl – we even went on a carousel together at the Christmas Market. This week I’m looking forward to our office Christmas party and also our organization’s Christmas concert!

These photos are brought to you from South of France, from a trip our family made many years ago. Oh, for it to be summer again..

  1. I loved reading this, Suvi 🙂 your posts are always so positively charged and uplifting, when I reached the part saying you are happy with your life, I thought, gosh, that’s the right thinking, we have so many things to be happy with and grateful for… love your posts for always highlighting this ♥
on a sidenote, I have too been in a submarine, my grandfather used to work for a military museum and renovated a military submarine… it’s very claustrophobic inside, but I liked the periscope lol :))

    1. Thank you for your sweet words and encouragement Alexandra 💕 Wow so cool to have the chance to visit a submarine with your grandfather, he probably had a lot of information to share. It really is claustrophobic inside, I wonder if the US submarines are the same or if they just have to exaggerate the size for the movies.. As a movie filmed in such a realistic cramped space would be quite awful to watch! 😂

  2. Love the photos and a chance to revisit that part of the world which I haven’t been to in a while. My favourite capture is the one where people are sitting under the huge tree.

I like the idea of a cupcake better than eating them, so I hear you. And they can be so pretty!

Sounds like you are very fortunate in the area of friends; you are a loyal Friend as you have good friends.
