Cee has one very difficult question for all of us in the beginning of 2017: what one thing would you like to accomplish this year?
Would you prefer to receive a unicycle, bicycle, tricycle or motorcycle?
I had an unicycle when I was a child and it was the most difficult thing ever! I never mastered it but my next door neighbour, Nora, managed to cycle a few meters with it. I really don’t want to have anything to do with unicycles ever again. I’m not particularly interested in motorcycles and I have no idea what I’d do with a tricycle – I don’t even know any children in the tricycle age anymore. So I would say I would like to receive a bicycle, a pink one please! I do prefer walking to biking but in summer it would be fun to cycle to the cafés by the beach.
What is one thing you’d like to accomplish this year?
Omg, just one? There’s quite many but let’s pick an easy one – I want to meet my Fitbit walking goals each week and go aqua jogging at least two times a week. I used to be able to accomplish much higher Fitbit goals but somehow it was impossible all Fall. So now I’ve lowered my goals to 13,000 steps and 8.5 km a day. Let’s see how it goes.
What was one of the highlights of 2016 for you?
It was definitely moving into our new house. I am absolutely loving the house – it’s so cosy!
Would you prefer to fly a kite or fly in a hot air balloon?
I’d rather fly in a hot air balloon! I never have but I can just imagine the brilliant photos I’d be able to take from above. There were many hot air balloons flying over our old neighbourhood and the take-off place was nearby too but I never looked into it. It’s very expensive in Finland so it does seem like a waste of money in the end.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful for my Christmas vacation, I never realized it at the time but I was really in need of a holiday. I am not looking forward to going back to work (haha!) but I am excited about seeing my colleagues and going out for lunch with them.
These photos were taken in London in May 2016. I miss London. London in Springtime is perfection.

My only wish is that this year we could have time to travel abroad. Last year we were too busy with our arrangements of removals (Oulu, Mikkeli and Helsinki).

Thanks Alexandra! Oh London is so wonderful. I really want to take my son there! I hope you get to go soon. In my opinion Spring and Christmastime are the best times to go.

I have really good balance (but also a lot of clumsiness)… I wonder I’d do on a unicycle. I should really try it some time.
Ballooning isn’t cheap here either… about a 2-hour drive and min $200 per person (though usually closer to $300 USD). I don’t think I’m $300 interested in trying it.

Wow 300 dollars is way too steep for such a ride!! Sounds like you would nail a unicycle, if you ever see one somewhere, you must try! 😊

I hope you get an opportunity to return to London during 2017. I’ve never been up in a hot air balloon either but always enjoy seeing them floating in the sky over Espoo in the summertime.
