Cee’s Share Your World is one of my favourite challenges. Do take part with your own post and reveal what age you think you are and how you like to recharge!
How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
I’m 40, soon to be 41 but I feel like 39. Ha, it’s not too far from the truth, so that’s not too bad. However, when I was 39, I felt like 40 because most of my friends had turned 40 already! Bizarre.
So, you’re on your way out and it’s raining. Do you know where your umbrella is or do you frantically search for it all over your apartment/house?
These days I have quite a few umbrellas in our hallway closet, so I don’t have to search for them thank goodness. The only problem is that they may be broken and I only remember the minute I open them outside. I don’t usually use umbrellas unless it’s pouring with rain. Then I need the cover because the bus stop is quite a hike away. But otherwise – a little rain won’t hurt you! I remember visiting friends in London (who were from Malaysia) and they were horrified that I didn’t want an umbrella when it started drizziling with rain.
Do you recharge your energy by going out with friends for a good time or by spending with quiet time alone?
I need both! Yes, I’m greedy like that, LOL. Going out with friends is so very energizing. I like to meet friends every week. Most of my friends are from different circles, so that means many meet-ups throughout the year. I didn’t really need quiet time before but now that I’m older, I sometimes find myself craving it – just watching Netflix or reading a book. But if I have to say one or the other, then I’d choose going out with friends as that gives me a fun, bubbly feeling for a long time!
Name three things you and your spouse, partner or best friend have in common.
I will pick hubby. I think he and I are quite different in many aspects… But, let’s see.. We both like to be active and do things rather than lounge around the house without any purpose. We both like eating out and testing new restaurants. We have similar morals and ethics and like to live by them.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
If things go well, I will finally see the movie Lion this week! I am also looking forward to going to Tallinn for a day trip on Sunday. Last week I threw a brunch for my old colleagues. Even though I say so myself, I was quite pleased with the menu – so I’d say I’m grateful that went wonderfully.
These photos are all from Tampere, Finland.

Another fun post!
Laughing about umbrellas …. Malaysians & Singaporeans are very big on their umbrellas! For rain, for sun, we just can’t do without them!

Yes that is so true! I think it’s a bit of a hassle carrying an umbrella and it weighs so much in my bag. I’d rather leave home without it 🙂

Thank you for these photographs. My grandfather was from Tampere and left Finland in 1880’s.
He lived in the USA as did my grandmother. She was from Isokyro and arrived in New York City in 1896 at the age of nine.
