Now I won’t lie to you. I did not actually try punting in Cambridge. Why not? – you cry! Well, a baby on board would’ve been too dangerous.
And no, I’m not talking about any baby of mine, LOL. I was visiting a friend and her family and her daughter was still a tiny wee thing then. I hope you enjoy my photos of the boats and the River Cam nevertheless.

How cool that you’ve been punting! Was it easy? Maybe I will try it if I visit Oxford next time! I’ve only been as a child and naturally after Cambridge, Oxford should be next on the list. 😊

To be honest, I didn’t actually do the punting. Dear husband and my uncle did the work. The girls and I just enjoyed being on the water!
But yes! Definitely go when you have the chance.

This looks like a beautiful trip! I grew up near Cambridge & went punting a lot, so I highly recommend it if you ever make your way back! 🙂

It definitely takes some getting used to in order to get into the rhythm, but after that it’s not too difficult!

They tried to sell it to us when we were there but I thought it probably wasn’t the best activity to do with a 2 year old 😀 Maybe someday!

Exactly, not the best activity with small children! I do hope to try it one of these days. I’d rather do it myself than someone doing the punting for me tho 😊

The weather was certainly better than on my February visit Suvi. I haven’t tried punting but I would as long as I wasn’t the person standing with the pole!
