This week I have a collection of brown doors from Tallinn for you.
A simple brown door – it seems to be a back entrance to a theatre.
This one in fact!
Can you imagine ladies with hats and gloves entering this door back in the day?
I always find a door with a round window quite fascinating.
These doors lead you to the Opera house.
I couldn’t resist including a red door to give this post some spice.

I do like the nice simple lines of that first one but the shot that really impressed me is the lovely opera house. There’s something about a curved facade that does it for me.

Oh yes, the Opera House is quite stunning even though the architecture is quite simple. There’s a cafe opposite the opera, high up, from where one can gaze at the building with a glass of bubbly or coffee 🙂

My favorite is the building with the red door and green and blue bistro table/chairs. I can see myself sitting there with a cup of cappuccino.

Oh yes! We visited on a cold day, so we had our coffee inside. But with a few rays of sunlight, this would be the perfect place for a cup of coffee.

I think I like the third door best. There’s something about the curve that surrounds the glass on the bottom that’s lovely and the surrounding details are lovely, too.

Love that theatre door, there’s just something deco and unique about it.

So true J Walters, I just looked the building up and it’s the Estonian Drama Theatre. The building was designed by architects from St Petersburg and built in 1910. Back in the day, it even won an architectural prize!
