I’ve been very quiet on the blog front recently as I’ve been very busy with all kinds of stuff, mostly our boat. I never realized getting a boat ready for the summer was so much work! Last weekend I took a bunch of photos and now is a good time to use them for Cee’s Share Your World.
What do you do when you’re not working?
Well, nothing very interesting. I do grocery shopping, laundry, make dinner, write and follow blogs.. I’ve started teaching our son cooking which is lots of fun! These days it seems that all I’ve been doing after work is work on the boat, grr..
What would you do if you won the lottery?
Hmm.. Well I hope it’s a huge sum so I can do lots of things! First, I’d take leave from work for three months and go travelling with the family. Then I’d pay off our loans. I’d buy hubby a bigger sailing boat, my mom and the kids apartments in Espoo. Then, I’d reserve more trips to meet my friends all over the world!
What makes you laugh the most?
I laugh a lot especially with my colleagues. I find stand-up very awkward and it rarely makes me laugh. I don’t usually watch videos but there was this one really cute video of a baby who was dressed up as a lion and he/she tries to roar and it sounds like a “mew”. That video made me laugh and of course I had to watch it on a loop for a bit. Watch it here.
What is your biggest pet peeve with modern technology?
Social media and being addicted to it, LOL!
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Last week I tried forest yoga. It was absolutely wonderful and I hope that this summer I have the energy to go to the nearby forest to try it for myself. This week I’m looking forward to getting the sails on the boat. I’m quite fed up with working on the boat, so I am really looking forward to everything being ready for sailing – it’s taken ages!

I understand your frustration about boats! I had mine ready to go, sails on, new lines ready. And then I discovered the motor, a tiny little 4 HP motor, needed to be replaced. So frustrating to see the sunshine and feel a cool breeze and know we’re missing ANOTHER! sailing day while waiting for the motor to arrive. It will all be worth it, though, won’t it. Enjoy your summer!
