I never knew Fins loved to travel and move around by boat! How about that, waking up to a different location every day 🙂 Hope you are having a good summer and doing well. It’s been very cold here in Australia, but since the solstice has come and gone, we’re all that much closer to summer 🙂
Thanks Mabel! Unfortunately the summer has been cold, windy and rainy so far. Here’s hoping for better weather soon! In Finland you can’t have weather reservations – for example if you want to go sailing, then you just pile on the clothes or raingear. Haha – I’d rather sail in shorts all day… xx
Hi Julie! Thank you for your visit! The best time to come to Finland depends on what you want to see. If you want to see darkness and snow (or Northern Lights if you are lucky), then a visit to Lapland would be best in the winter months. If you are into seeing light nights and warmer weather, then June, July or August would be your best bet for Helsinki. Do note that warm weather might not be what you would expect, LOL!
This sure looks like the beautiful North! Lovely take on the challenge.
Have a great weekend, wishing you the best of all summers now that we have celebrated summer solstice in Norway 🇳🇴

Suvi – one of the nice things about your blog is that it breaks all my preconceived & ignorant ideas about Finland. Thanks for sharing.

I would love to go to Finland and the Scandinavian countries one day. Is it preferable to go when the season is warmer or colder?
