This week I’ve been trying to get back on track with blogging. This also means starting again with Cee’s Share Your World posts.
What would constitute a “perfect” day for you?
A perfect day can be so many things. Starting a work day with a swim or a hearty breakfast. Lounging around at home with the family. Having time for an evening walk. Meeting up with friends. So as you can see, it’s impossible to define a perfect day!
Complete this sentence: My favorite place in the whole world…..
..is home. I can hardly believe I said that! I used to always think that my favourite place was somewhere else. We moved a year ago and I really love our home. Now we’re constructing a new yard and I’m sure I’ll love home even more once it’s ready!
Who was your best friend in elementary school (prior to age 12)?
When I was eight my best friend was an Australian girl called Emily. This was in Kuala Lumpur. I can’t remember when she moved away or her surname. I do remember drinking MILO in her kitchen before going to bed (sleepover) and watching Ghostbusters. After Emily, I don’t think I had one best friend for quite many years, instead, I had many good friends. Later, my best friend was a girl from New Zealand – Mara. At first we didn’t like each other at all! We’re still in touch but the last time we met was around 18 years ago when she visited Finland. We were living in student housing at the time. It was winter and -25 Celsius. Mara came here from a trip to Namibia and didn’t have a proper winter coat – needless to say, she was freezing!
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

All these photos were taken on our yacht club’s island. Don’t you love how the scenery changes with the movement of the sun? In the last picture, the time was 9.30 pm.
xx
Great photos! I’m just back from a trip to Finland but didn’t manage to catch a sunset on camera, mostly because the sun decided to hide last week!

Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that! It hasn’t been too cold though, so I guess you still had okay weather. I hope you enjoyed Finland! 🙂

It was great. My friend lives in Helsinki and I’ve visited in winter but not in summer before. It was very different without the snow.
