Cambridge Colleges

Today I’m going to photobomb you with photos of Cambridge colleges. Unfortunately I have forgotten which one is which but perhaps you will spot a favourite anyway! You can read my separate post on Trinity College here.

I love gardens but this was out of bounds for me – a Fellow’s Garden.

Have you been to Cambridge? Or better yet, have you studied there? Next time I want to visit Oxford – the last time I was there I was 12 years old.

  1. Wow wow wow! What lovely historic buildings! I feel smarted just looking at them. Maybe there is something to be said about going to school in a place where there is so much history & tradition! (I went to a very modern school in the USA)

    1. I would’ve loved to go to such a school like Cambridge! The Helsinki University buildings I went to weren’t that modern but they definitely were missing the charm Cambridge and Oxford have ❤️❤️

  2. The fourth from last photo, the one with the very stripey lawn, is of Emmanuel College. My daughter graduated from there last summer after four very happy years. We now live in Cambridge and love it. And the fact that there’s always so much going on makes for a very interesting life!

    1. How lovely to live in such a beautiful place 💕💕 Thank you for pointing out Emmanuel College, the names really got mixed up after all this time!

    1. Oh I can just imagine all those gorgeous, old buildings in the fog, so mysterious! How fabulous to have relatives in Cambridge, always a good reason to revisit. My friend was living there with her family at the time I went. Now she’s moved to the US, I should plan a trip there next ❤️

    1. A friend of mine was living there at the time and had just had a baby. So it was the perfect time to visit! And we had gorgeous weather too. I think you will be excited to try the punting!! I didn’t have a chance as it would’ve been too challenging with a baby in tow 😂

    1. Oh you must go again ❤️ The time I visited (early May) was perfect with the new green on the trees! I really want to revisit Oxford next time or venture further away from London!
