It’s been a while since my last Share Your World, my favourite challenge hosted by Cee.
Would you prefer a reading nook or an art, craft, photography studio?
Most definitely a reading nook! I love looking at reading nook photos on Pinterest. Its amazing how cosy they look. I wish I had one at home. It could be below the stairs but I love the windowsill ones the most. I really enjoy reading but have sadly had too little time for it lately.
Tell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report. (For example, partly cloudy, sunny with a chance for showers, etc.)
Today I have been feeling very sunny. However, in reality the weather has been totally different – rainy and dark. I saw a glimpse of sun on Saturday but it never emerged from the clouds. At this time of year it’s very rare to see the sun here in Finland, so even a glimpse makes me happy.
If you could witness or physically attend any event past, present or future, what would it be?
I love history, so I would like to go back in time to Helsinki in the year 1900. There’s actually a really cool website where you can see photos of Helsinki back in the day. Have a look here.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?
I appreciate all the sparkly lights people are hanging in their yards. These lights make November so much more bearable. Yesterday I enjoyed my evening walk so much more when I could observe all the different colored lights around the neighborhood. Some people think that these lights are Christmas lights and won’t hang them till closer to Christmas. I have no such reservations – once the days grow shorter, the lights come out!
If you enjoyed this post, do take part by writing your own, I would love to learn more about you.
These photos are from Halosenniemi at Lake Tuusula in Finland. Back in the day, this was artist Pekka Halonen’s home and ateljée. My favourite thing there was the sauna which boasts gorgeous views. I wonder if it’s ever used these days?
xx
I know what you mean about the gray days of November. I’m staring out at one now.
The twinkling lights of Christmas are such a welcome addition to the season. I only wish it was ‘acceptable’ to keep them out through January and February when it’s so bleak outside.
