I’m sad to look back on this year and see how it has been very quiet in the sense of blogging. I’ve only published 85 posts compared to 2016’s 214 posts! In the beginning of the year I felt very unmotivated and found writing blogs more of a chore than a fun way to spend time. Then, after summer I started school and all the time I had for blogging has since been filled with writing assignments and making deadlines. I want to extend a warm thank you for anyone who has managed to stick around throughout all this!
Before starting the New Year, here’s a look at the top posts of 2017.
My most popular post was Memories of a Malaysian Childhood. I love reminicing about Malaysia but mostly I hope to make it back there one day.
Next up, Finnish Sauna Etiquette. I’m happy people have found my blog to read about Finnish sauna.
My favourite harbour on our summer sailing trip was Sommaröstrand Guest Harbour. By the traffic the post has got, I think the place has some other fans too!
Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to revisit Café Bastvik in Espoo – the photos of Brunch at Café Bastvik make me hungry!
Tallinn is one my favourite places to visit, I have lots of tips for you if you’re going – do check out Top 10 Things to do in Tallinn.
Last, here’s a funny photo of me from Milan for a few laughs!
Happy New Year y’all and see you next year! ❤
Love, Suvi
xx
What a great idea, Suvi, to have a Best of post. Gives us a chance to look back at some of your old posts again!
Hope you have a better writing year, and that you will enjoy it more! I certainly enjoy reading your posts and look forward to travelling vicariously through you.

Hyvää uutta vuotta Suvi! I love your blog, so I hope you stick around! But like someone said, maybe it isn’t a bad thing to do less – I’m trying to focus more on quality than quantity these days myself but I just have too many random ideas flying around, I don’t know if I’ll ever get there! 😀 Have a fun NYE and see you next year in the blogosphere!

Oh Suvi, I can relate. At times, it felt like I’ve abandoned this blog. I’m hoping to rectify that in the new year.😀
All the best for 2018, and l’m looking forward to reading more about your adventures.💙 🎉🍾

Happy new year with lots of inspiration too😉I can relate when you say it sometimes feels like a hard job, but to my opinion better fewer posts and of good quality than some daily random thoughts😉 so just take your time and follow your intuition…wishing you all the best for 2018!

It’s good to take a look and think about what’s been happening on our blogs. I’m still searching of what I want out of mine and that doesn’t really help me when it comes to blogging. All that said, I enjoy a ton your blog and look forward to what you’ll have for us in 2018!

Hi Suvi! I understand the feeling of blogging being a chore. Actually have been thinking the same for months and not sure how to fight this. Although 85 is less than 214, it’s still quite an achievement! On average it’s 1.6 posts per week 🙂 I really like your posts so please keep writing, no matter how much. Wish you lots of inspiration, interesting trips and exciting moments in 2018!

Hi Elena! So lovely to hear from you. I’m sorry you too feel this way about blogging at the moment! I guess it’s just best to have a long break and then the inspiration to write a post might come back.. I would love to read more from you (although this year I have been lousy at keeping up with my fave bloggers too, so sorry about that!). Here’s wishing you a blogging boost and a wonderful New Year 2018! xx
