Here’s a peek at my world through one of the most entertaining blog challenges out there – Share Your World.
Are you a practical jokester?
Usually I’m not… but sometimes I may get into the mood. This could mean silly things like trying to scare someone to think there’s something in the bushes when walking in the forest. You can get this effect by throwing a small rock or twig into the shrubs (from behind the person walking in front of you) so that it makes a rustling sound. It’s also a good idea to screech SNAKE! to get the most out of it. Although I must admit that I’m the first to run screaming if someone does that to me, LOL!
Who cuts your hair? You, a friend, or professional.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a friend cut my hair. I always go to the hairdressers. But I’m quite lazy about it and only reserve an appointment when it’s really needed. In summer my hair goes all dry and bristly because we spend so much time at sea, so I have to have it cut before the season and right after too!
Did you have a stuffed animal when you were a kid, if so what kind?
I had so many different kinds. I was quite spoilt, you see. I’m sorry to have lost a teddy bear my dad brought back from his travels. It was Misha – the official mascot of the 1980s Moscow Olympics. Misha was actually really cute but he wasn’t particularly soft so Misha was more of a decoration kind of teddy. You can see what Misha the bear looked like here.
What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?
It’s been an eventful week with many special moments with friends and family. Let me share one small incident that made me smile. One of my best friends and I decided to try out a new vegan restaurant in Helsinki last weekend. The owner was very sweet and seemed excited to have us there. Out of the blue she asked if she could take a photo of us with our food. Of course we had guessed what would happen with that photo but when my friend discovered it on the restaurant’s Facebook page, it made me chuckle.
In case you were wondering – these photos are from Iringa, Tanzania. ❤ It’s strange to look back and think I was there just last October. It seems like a lifetime away and another world compared to snowy Finland.
