Here’s my entry for Thursday Doors! These doors are from Tampere and a lovely area there called Pispala.
Based on the amount of snow in front of the door, it looks like the owner might not have been around for a while. Or maybe there’s another entrance?
It’s fun how all the houses in Pispala are so colorful and each one is unique. Here’s quite an ordinary brown door.
Technically not a door but such a cool gate that I had to include it!
Three cute red doors in a row!
Now imagine this door in summer – I’m sure you won’t be able to see it from behind the trees. It’s like a secret entrance.
This looks like an old school.
Love the glass on this red door.
This door hides behind it a really cool cafe with great breakfast fare! Just take a look here.
A white door on a white house. The door and the round window go well together.
This door looks functional. The railings on the stairs are quirky.

Some lovely pictures of the doors, Suvi. I loved the last picture in this post. All I need is a chair to sit there.

Thank you for taking a look! It was a bit too cold to sit outside at the time we visited but now it would be perfect 👌

I won’t mind the cold at all. In India here, we are generally at 90F so cold is a welcome change.

Very nice doors and a great tour; I only got to Helsinki a couple of years ago and we didn’t the houses that you found.

Hi Gordon! Thank you for taking a look and commenting 🙂 Actually these doors are from another city called Tampere! But Helsinki does have a neighbourhood with wooden houses too but its very different.

U really found some fun doors and the best part for me was the commenting you added – it does look like an old school and the quirky railings stand out – my fav is the gate! Is that a bike embedded in there? –

Thank you for taking a look! Yes, I do think that bike is somehow embedded in that gate. Perhaps the owner of the house is an artist of sorts and has made this? 🙂

Yes – some artist had their hand in it – and wonder the story

This was a town that I intended to get to but didn’t. So glad I coudl see it with its wintry cloak. So pretty. And beautiful doors. A real delight to scroll through, Suvi.

Well then, that’s a good enough reason to come back isn’t it! Good to leave something to see for next time 🙂

Don’t envy the snow that’s still there, but the doors! And I love the kind of green on the first house!

Hopefully the snow has now melted there too. Here near Helsinki, my yard is finally free from snow, yay!

Fun collection this week. I’m partial to the one that will be hidden when the trees fill in.
Thanks for sharing these 🙂

Some great doors but as a cyclist I particularly love the gate.
