Now that travel is restricted to nearby areas, many people are looking for places to visit locally. A few years back, Marion and I visited the Lake Tuusula region. The area is famous for its’ beautiful lake and rich cultural and historical heritage.

A friend and I decided to visit Porvoo this year for some Christmas cheer. It was a great decision, as the town was busy with all things Christmassy.

One last look at summer and my favourite island to this day – Jurmo.
Örö was a closed military island from 1915 to 2015. From 2015 onwards the public has been able to access the island by boat or ferry. However, the island has been quite a difficult business venture as so far three different entrepreneurs have tried their hand at it, failing financially each time.
Summer seems like a long lost memory by now as the leaves transform into bright colors and we are reminded of the long winter ahead. Nevertheless, let’s take some time to remember Finnish summer before the snow kicks in.
The Easter break went by quickly and is just a memory now. As expected it flew by in the garden and on the boat.
At the moment I’m awaiting summer excitedly. The sun has been shining almost everyday, the weather has warmed and I feel much more energetic than during the dark winter.
