London Diaries, Day 4
We started our last day with an early breakfast at the Travelodge and then made our way to Westminster Abbey which was one of the top things to see on my son’s list.

On our third day in London, we had arranged to meet up with my dear friends Niki and Simon for a full day of exploring. Even though they live in London, they were game for spending a touristy day with us.
We woke to a sunny morning in London and started the day with a traditional English breakfast at the Travelodge. For the picky traveler, they did have yogurt and fruits in addition to beans, eggs and sausages.
My son and I visited London in December 2019. It was his first time in the city, so we toured some of the usual tourist spots but managed to fit in meet-ups with friends and some unexpected experiences as well. You’ll be astonished how much we managed in just for days.
London has an abundance of museums to choose from. One I’d been wanting to visit for quite some time was The National Gallery. It certainly did not disappoint.
A while back I posted about London’s Highgate East Cemetery. This time I will take you on a walk to Highgate West – a cemetery which can only be visited on a tour.

Kensington Gardens is one of my favourite parks in London. In addition to being a stunning park, it’s also home to the Kensington Palace.
